Government to Prepare New Budget Report, Decides Budget Supervision Commission
Ljubljana, 18 September - The implementation of the state budget in the first six months of 2001 was discussed at Tuesday's regular session by the commission for the supervision of the budget and public finances. Following the presentation of the report, the commission pointed out the unreal macroeconomic items set by the government in the 2001 budget and too high anticipations of the revenues from the value added tax and excise duties. The government should draw a new assessment on the budget's implementation by the end of the year, was the decision of the commission.
