Defence State Secretary Receives NATO Navy Official
Ljubljana, 19 September - State Secretary to the Defence Ministry Milan Jazbec received the Commander-in-Chief Allied Forces Southern Europe, Vice Admiral Luigi Lillo, in a bid to discuss the military excercise Cooperative Engagement 2001 that is currently under way in Slovenia's seaside town of Ankaran. Both officials believe that the drill, which is part of the Partnership for Peace programme, is important for both Slovenia and NATO, as it aims to improve interoperability between the Slovene army and NATO forces.
