Economics Ministry to Sell Defunct Shoemaker Peko
Ljubljana, 21 September - The Slovene Economics Ministry on Friday issued a public tender for the purchase of 3,044,177 shares of the troubled shoemaker Peko, plus another 1,547,891 shares the Ministry expects to acquire after the Peko's forceful settlement is complete. The nominal value of a Peko share was set at 1,000 tolars (4.5 euros). All interested parties have to submit their bids by 22 October and post a bail of SIT 25 million (114,000 euros).
