Duty-Free Shops at Border with EU Finally Transformed into Ordinary Shops
Ljubljana, 21 September - As of Friday, all duty-free shops on Slovenia's border with Italy and Austria have been transformed into ordinary shops in accordance with the act on the transformation of duty free shops on borders with the EU, a document taking effect on 11 August. The act affects a total of 35 shops, some of which have not been transformed, but - in anticipation of dipping sales - closed down.
