Largest Slovene Bank Gears to Takeover Yugoslav Continental Bank
Ljubljana, 24 September - The largest Slovene bank, Nova ljubljanska banka (NLB), is gearing to takeover Yugoslavia's Continental banka in its bid to penetrate the Yugoslav market. The two banks had recently signed a protocol on co-operation which also envisages the purchase of at least a 51-percent stake in the Continental banka, a member of the NLB board told STA on Monday.
