Encouraging Prospects for Slovenia's Accession Negotiations on Agriculture
Ljubljana, 26 September - The parliamentary committe for agriculture, forestry and food received encouraging information on Wednesday on the prospects for the course of Slovenia's accession negotiations on agriculture. Slovenia has good chances of closing negotiations with the EU on veterinary and phytosanitary aspects of the acquis, so that only the toughest issues remain to be tackled, namely direct payments and production quotas, Agriculture Ministry State Secretary Iztok Jarc told the committee.
