Slovenia Marks World Tourism Day
Ljubljana, 27 September - Slovene tourism, which generates revenues of around SIT 1 billion (4,500 million euros), i.e. three to four percent GDP, will not be able to escape the consequence of the terrorist attacks in the U.S., acting director of the Slovene Tourist Organisation Bojan Meden has told STA ahead of World Tourism Day, which will be marked on Thursday. Globally, tourist flows will now be redirected to closer and safer tourist destinations, which also includes Slovenia, Meden believes.
