Weekly Review of the Slovene Economy from 22 to 28 September

Ljubljana, 30 September - The Slovene government took a number of important decision at its session on Thursday, 28 September, including the adoption of the budget bills for 2002 and 2003 and the adoption of a bill to provide war risk cover for Slovenia's flag-carrier Adria Airways. The latter was also adopted by parliament a day later. The uncovering of wrongdoings at the Slovene subsidiary of Volksbank also made headlines throughout the week. A total of four person have been arrested in connection to the wrongdoings, which have caused some 9.1 million euros worth of damages to Volksbank - Ljudska banka.
