Slovene Central Bank Governor: There Is Little Time to Meet Maastricht Criteria
Ljubljana, 2 October - Slovene economic policies have to be harmonised otherwise it will be difficult to achieve the targets and standards required before the accession to the EU and the European Monetary Union in the short time remaining. This means curbing inflation as well as the related wages and public expenditure, where the two-year budgets adopted by the government last Saturday will be of great help, Bank of Slovenia governor Mitja Gaspari told STA on Tuesday.
