Euroleague Opening Tournament: Olimpija Proceeds to Semi-Finals

Ljubljana, 2 October - Home favourites Union Olimpija from Ljubljana defeated Spain's Tau Ceramica 90:83 (18:19, 38:41, 59:60) in Tuesday's second match of Euroleague's Opening tournament. Olimpija thus joins Cibona from Zagreb, who earlier beat Panathinaikos, for Wednesday's round of matches against last year's Suproleague and Euroleague champions, Macabbi Tel Aviv and Kinder Virtus Bologna. Tau and Panathinaikos, on the other hand, are leaving Ljubljana after their losses in this knock-out tournament.
