Slovene President Attends the Vilnius Group Summit in Bulgaria
Sofia, 5 October - Slovene President Milan Kucan, who on Friday in Bulgaria's Sofia attended a meeting of presidents from the Vilnius group of NATO candidate countries, said that the terrorist attacks on the U.S. urgently call for stronger Euro-Atlantic security, which is "a reason more for a brave enlargement of NATO". Kucan reiterated that Slovenia is determined to fulfil the required criteria for NATO membership and is confident that its efforts will be acknowledged.
