Madrid Confirms Support for Slovenia's Integration into the EU and NATO
Madrid, 9 October - I am pleased that my first official visit abroad was to Spain, a country that has in the past ten years done a lot for Slovenia, Speaker of Slovene Parliament Borut Pahor said on Tuesday after meeting his Spanish counterpart Luisa Fernanda Rudi and deputy speakers of the parliament. Pahor pointed out the importance of Spain's support for Slovenia's efforts to join NATO and the EU, particularly as the support of a state that will in the first half of next year preside over the EU. Pahor also said that Spanish officials assured him to support Slovenia in these efforts in future as well.
