Slovene Champions Kick Off Euroleague Campaign with Victory

Ljubljana, 11 October - Slovenia's Union Olimpija kicked off its Euroleague campaign in Ljubljana on Thursday with a 81:74 (17:21, 43:42, 64:60) victory over Greek team Peristeri. The Slovene champions were led in scoring by shooting guard Jiri Welsch with 28 points, while the Greek team got the most out of power forward Adam Wojcik with 27 points.
