Slovene Minority Refuses to Submit Census Forms in Italian

Trieste, 22 October - ITALY/SLOVENIA/MINORITY
Official representatives of the Slovene minority living in Italy called upon the minority on Monday not to fill in census forms that will not be written in the Slovene language. This comes as a protest after German and French minorities received bilingual forms, while Slovenes living in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia received only a deficient Slovene translation enclosed as a technical aid for filling the form in Italian.
