Stable Support for EU Membership Among Slovenes, Survey Shows

Ljubljana, 22 October - A total of 57.8 percent of Slovenes would vote in favour of Slovenia's EU membership if a referendum was held next Sunday, a survey conducted in May and June among 1,008 people shows. This places Slovenia among candidate countries with stable support for accession, Dr. Samo Uhan of the public opinion and mass communications research centre, which carried out the poll, said on Monday.
