Rome Responds Positively to Minority's Demands for Bilingual Census Forms

Italian state organ for the protection of private data said that as regards its claims, the Slovene minority in Italy is entitled to bilingual census forms, adding that a government decree should prescribe the bilingual forms, reported Italian radio Trieste A on Wednesday. This was a response to Italian statistics institute Instat's refusal of bilingual forms for the coming Italian population census some time ago, when Instat relied on the protection of private data act from 1996.
