jubljana, March 10 (STA) - A Slovenian-Portuguese joint business conference began in Ljubljana today, organised by the Slovenian Chamber of Commerce. Businessmen from the two countries will present possibilities for economic cooperation and have the chance to forge concrete ties.***

At a press conference, Vojka Ravbar and Luis Palha da Silva agreed that foreign trade between Slovenia and Portugal is very modest. In 1992, the value of Slovenian exports to Portugal was USD 5.9 million; it rose to USD 13.9 million last year. The value of Slovenian imports from Portugal amounted to USD 22.4 million in 1992, but was just USD 9.8 million last year.
