Slovene Sports Journalists Confer Awards for Best Athletes of the Year

Ljubljana, 23 December - The Association of Slovene Sports Journalists on Sunday conferred awards for best athletes in 2001. Cyclist Andrej Hauptman and track athlete Alenka Bikar were thus declared best individual athletes of the year, the Slovene national football side was, unsurprisingly, awarded as the best team in collective sports, while the coxless four (Jani Klemencic, Milan Jansa, Rok Kolander and Matej Prelog) was conferred the award for the best team in individual sports disciplines.
