The Number of Judges Will Not Increase Substantially, However Their Efficiency Will

Ljubljana, 24 December - The backlog of pending cases at courts has been reduced in most key areas, also with the help of the new projects Hercules and mediation, the Slovene Justice Minister Ivan Bizjak told STA. Among his ministry's achievements in the past year he pointed out the adoption of the Code of Obligations and the act on free legal aid, the reduction of notary rates, changes of court fees, and the closure of the chapter on justice and home affairs in the accession talks with the EU.
