Primorske novice: Bloody Roads

Koper, 5 January - Blood that marked the beginning of the new year on the Slovene roads this time spared the western region of Primorsko. This was an exception as the number of victims of the Primorsko roads in 2001 is not very encouraging, writes Saturday's issue of the Slovene daily Primorske novice. According to the police, 58 people died on the Primorsko roads last year, which is one death more than in 2000, despite the fact that the total number of road accidents decreased substantially, writes the paper.
