Delo: Haider's Selectivity
Ljubljana, 8 January - The daily Delo responds Tuesday to a decision of the Austrian Constitutional Court to dismiss an initiative with which the governor general of Austria's Carinthia demanded that President of the Constitutional Court Ludwig Adamovich be removed from office. Joerg Haider maintains that Adamovich should be removed from office because he has met with Slovenia's President Milan Kucan to discuss bilingual street signs in the province of Carinthia. The meeting took place before the Austrian court ruled in favour of the Slovene minority in a dispute on the use of Slovene-German street signs. Both Adamovich and Kucan denied that this was one of the topics discussed.
