Interbrew's Acquisition of a KAD's Stake in Union Echoes across Slovenia

Ljubljana, 8 January - Interbrew's acquisition of the 10.3-percent stake in Pivovarna Union from the Pension Fund Management (KAD) provoked mixed responses among experts and politicians. The Competition Protection Office feels the deal is perfectly fine, while the coalition SLS+SKD Slovene People's Party accused its coalition partner, the Liberal Democracy (LDS), of actively lobbying to enable Interbrew to make the move.
