Possibility that Developments in Union Takeover Could Affect EU Accession Process, Says Potocnik

Ljubljana, 9 January - Slovenia's chief negotiator with the EU Janez Potocnik does not exclude the possibility that developments surrounding the takeover of brewer Pivovarna Union could potentially affect Slovenia's accession process to the EU, "however only if the EU should find that already accepted rules of the game had been violated (by Slovenia) and that Slovene supervisory bodies failed to react accordingly".
