Interbrew Acquired Union Shares in Accordance with Law, Securities Market Agency Says
Ljubljana, 9 January - Interbrew's purchase of Pivovarna Union shares is in line with the act on takeovers, said Miha Juhart, a top official at the Slovene Securities Market Agency. Juhart explained that Interbrew had acquired the Union stake from the Pension Fund Management (KAD) at the price of the highest deal. In this case, all other Union shareholders, including those that have already sold their shares at a lower price, can sell their stake at a higher price.
