European Commission Trusts Slovene Anti-Trust Authorities
Ljubljana, 10 January - Takeovers of companies must be monitored by anti-trust authorities, as this is an integral part of the EU's internal market which Slovenia is becoming a member of. The European Commission is convinced that the Slovene authorities will make the right decisions, EU Ambassador to Slovenia Eric van der Linden commented on Thursday disputes surrounding the acquisition of Slovene brewery Pivovarna Union by Belgium's Interbrew.
