Gov't Confirms Dismissal of SOD Director
Ljubljana, 10 January - The Slovene government on Thursday gave the green light to the dismissal of the director of the Slovene Reimbursement Company (SOD), Anton Koncnik, who single-handedly sold a 12.15-percent stake owned by the state fund in Slovene brewer Pivovarna Union to rival Slovene brewer Pivovarna Lasko. The dismissal of Koncnik was proposed by the SOD management board, which met on 21 December, immediately after news broke that Koncnik sold the shares to Lasko.
