Poland Will Back Slovenia's NATO Membership, Cimoszewicz and Kwasniewski Tell Rupel
Warsaw, 20 February - Poland will back Slovenia's candidacy for NATO membership at the NATO Prague summit scheduled for November, Slovene Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel was reassured by his Polish counterpart Wlodzimierz Cimoszewicz on Wednesday in Warsaw. The same opinion was expressed by President Aleksander Kwasniewski, who moreover voiced Poland's support for broad NATO enlargement. Kwasniewski thought that NATO candidates must implement the Membership Action Plan.
