2001 Record Year for Slovenia's Incoming and Outgoing Investments

Ljubljana, 10 March - Slovenia had a record amount of foreign direct investments in 2001, increasing from one to over two percent of GDP. Slovenia attracted strategic investments in Slovene companies, thus selling to foreigners the mobile operator Simobil and SKB banka, Slovenia's third bank. According to Bank of Slovenia, foreign direct investments in Slovenia were at nearly US$ 442 million, twice as much as in 2000.
