Slovene Minority in Italy Goes to Court to Protest Decision of Regional Government

Trieste, 12 March - Both umbrella organisations of the Slovene minority in Italy decided on Tuesday to ask the Friuli-Venezia Giulia administrative court to examine the regional government's selection of six members of an institution in charge of implementation of the Slovene minority act. Of the six members appointed by the Friuli-Venezia Giulia government yesterday, only three are members of the Slovene minority. The minority, however, expected four minority members to be appointed.
