Defence Expert Proposes General Civil Service for Both Men and Women

Maribor, 12 March - A proposal to immediately professionalize the Slovene Armed Forces, put forward recently by three opposition parties, has caused a stir in the public, while many thought that it it unfeasible in such a short run. As if this were not enough, Anton Bebler, a leading defence expert, has suggested that in order to cushion the transition into a fully professional army, general civil service for men and women alike should be introduced, the daily Vecer writes on Tuesday.
