Slovenia Closing Development Gap to the EU, Slovene Prime Minister Says
Barcelona, 15 March - Slovenia is already implementing the goals set down in the EU's economic strategy, which is aimed at making the Union the most competitive economy in the world by 2010, Slovene Prime Minister Janez Drnovsek said Friday at a discussion with his counterparts from candidate countries, which took place on the sidelines of the EU's Barcelona summit. Slovenia has managed to close the development gap, he added, and will continue to develop even faster to exceed the average development in the EU.
