NATO Accession is Not a Project without Public Support, Foreign Ministry Claims

Ljubljana, 26 March - The column in Monday's edition of the daily Dnevnik, suggesting that statements of Foreign Minister Rupel at a recent round table have confirmed the fears of the majority of NATO opponents that NATO is a government project without public support are wrong, the Foreign Ministry said Monday in a press release. NATO accession has never been a government project without public support, and claims that EU and NATO accession do not enjoy public support are made up, according to the press release.
