Slovene and Palestinian Officials Discuss Middle East Situation, Bilateral Relations

Ljubljana, 27 March - State Secretary to the Slovene Foreign Ministry Samuel Zbogar expressed regret that Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat is not attending the summit of the Arab League, currently held in Beirut. In a meeting with Deputy Minister of Planning and International Co-operation at the Palestinian National Authority Jihad Alwazir, who arrived on a two-day visit on Wednesday, Zbogar discussed Slovene-Palestinian relations in addition to the situation in the Middle East. The Palestinian official is to be received by Slovene Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel on Thursday.
