First Census Since Slovene Independence to Kick Off on Monday

Ljubljana, 31 March - Residents of Slovenia are getting ready to answer 88 questions about themselves, as the Slovene Statistical Office is to launch the first national census since Slovene independence on Monday. Census 2002 is expected to last two weeks, although activities on the first day, Easter Monday, will not reach their peak, the head of the statistical office Tomaz Banovec explained.
