Slovene Steelworks Inexa Makes Loss in 2001, Fears Consequences of EU Measures

Štore, 31 March - Slovene steel-maker Inexa from Store, eastern Slovenia, sold a total of 87,333 tonnes of steel in 2001, generating a revenue of 8.2 billion tolars (36.6 million euros), down 12 percent on 2000 results. The company made a loss of 175 million tolars (800,000 euros) last year, mostly due to the onset of a global recession in the latter part of 2001.
