Politbarometer: Public Support for EU and NATO Remains Well Below 50 Percent
Ljubljana, 3 April - Slovenia's public support for EU accession stood at 44.2 percent in March, up from 43.8 percent in February, according to Politbarometer, a monthly opinion poll conducted by the Centre for Public Opinion Research (CJM) at the Ljubljana Faculty of Social Sciences. For the first time, the survey also enquired about support for NATO, revealing that 38.8 percent of respondents would vote in favour of NATO membership in a referendum, compared to 41.3 percent that would vote against membership in the Alliance.
