Slovene FM Comments Low Public Support for NATO before Foreign Affairs Committee
Ljubljana, 3 April - The question whether Slovenia should join NATO must be answered in an even clearer manner, stressed Slovene Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel at Wednesday's session of the parliamentary foreign affairs committee in reaction to the results of the March public opinion poll Politbarometer. The latter showed that 38.8 percent of those polled would vote for NATO at a referendum, while 41.3 percent would be against it.
