Vecer on Adoption of New Parliamentary Standing Orders
Ljubljana, 4 April - The newly adopted parliamentary standing orders introduce new rules of the game which the ruling coalition said would allow for better planning, quicker adoption of legislation and overall a more sensible system. On the other hand, the opposition understands the new standing orders as a restriction of their right to present views and a diversion of the decision-making process from the lawmakers to the heads of the two largest ruling coalition parties, the Liberal Democracy (LDS) and United List (ZLSD) the Maribor-based daily Vecer says on Thursday.
