Government and Doctors Sign Agreement to Suspend Strike
Ljubljana, 4 April - An agreement to solve the dispute about the strike demands of doctors was signed on Thursday by the government, the Slovene Medical Chamber and the trade union associating doctors and dentists, Fides. As a result of this accord, Fides will suspend a two-and-a-half-week strike on Friday. However, this does not mean an end to negotiations, as a new collective agreement for doctors and dentists is to be made by 30 April and come into effect on 1 May.
