Slovene Farmers in Dire Need, Complains Agriculture Chamber
Ljubljana, 4 April - The Slovene Agriculture Chamber disagrees with the government's agriculture policy and feels that the state is irresponsible with tax-payers' money, its President Peter Vrisk told a press conference on Thursday. He added that the situation is increasingly dire, as more and more farmers are unable to meet all demands. The chamber also pointed out the too strict veterinary standards, often stricter than in the EU, and the unpaid funds for doing away with the damages caused by last year's disasters.
