Slovene MPs Urge Denmark not to Delay EU Enlargement upon Its EU Presidency

Copenhagen, 4 April - Denmark's EU presidency, during which EU accession negotiations are to conclude and the decision on new members is to be made, was the central topic of Thursday's official visit of the Slovene parliamentary foreign committee delegation to Denmark, STA was told by sources in the delegation, headed by committee chair Jelko Kacin. The Slovene MPs stressed the importance of the time frame of the enlargement and warned that any hesitation in the EU's decisions could reduce public support in the candidate countries.
