Slovene Days of Music to Pay Tribute to Composer Danilo Svara
Ljubljana, 9 April - The 17th traditional Slovene Days of Music, which are kicking off on Tuesday evening, will be dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birthday of Slovene composer Danilo Svara. The festival, which is to finish on 12 April, is to feature five concerts, an international conference on Svara, a round table with Vinko Globokar, an avant-garde composer who won this year's Preseren Award, and an exhibition of sketches of Puccini's opera Madame Butterfly from the Bologna Philharmonics Academy.
