Payments to Slovene Farmers Draw Nearer to EU Levels, Says Agriculture Minister
Ljubljana, 9 April - The Slovene Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Food has allocated SIT 32.45 billion (EUR 144.6 million) for direct payments to farmers, structural policy measures and export incentives in 2002, as opposed to SIT 25.87 billion (EUR 115.3 million) available last year, Agriculture Minister Franci But told the press on Tuesday.
