NATO Warns Slovenia About Faltering Public Support for Membership (brief)
Brussels, 9 April - The North Atlantic Council issued a warning to Slovenia regarding the faltering public support for NATO membership in the country. Having come out of the meeting with the North Atlantic Council held in Brussels on Tuesday, Slovene Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel stressed that the message from the NATO officials had been that "the Alliance does not wish to accept countries that do not wish to be members...That is why this problem has to be resolved and public support 'corrected'".
