Over 97 Percent of Slovene Bank Owned by Austrian Banking Group RZB

Maribor, 10 April - The Austrian banking group Raiffeisen Zentralbank (RZB) has managed to acquire 95,246 shares of Krekova banka and became the owner of 97.04 percent of this ninth largest Slovene bank in terms of total assets. The takeover bid for Krekova banka was placed on behalf of RZB by Raiffeisen International Beteiligungs (RIB), which runs a network of RZB offices in Central and Eastern Europe. RIB acquired the stake by 5 April, when the takeover bid expired.
