IFJ Official to Visit Slovenia to Compile Report on Petek Case
Ljubljana, 10 April - An official of the International Federation of Journalists is due to arrive in Slovenia on Wednesday to meet with Slovene journalists and officials in a bid to compile a report on the case of Miro Petek, a correspondent of the Maribor-based daily Vecer who was attacked in front of his house by two strangers in February 2001. After police failed to identify his attackers, the Slovene Parliament set up an investigating commission to look into the attack last October.
