Original Motorway Plan Was Unrealistic, Admits Transport Minister
Ljubljana, 10 April - Transport Minister Jakob Presecnik, confronted with accusations that Slovenia is in delay as regards the construction of motorways, admitted on Tuesday evening that the original national plan for the construction and its financial adjustments were based on completely unrealistic assumptions. Still, a lot has been done since 1994, said Presecnik, especially in consideration to persistently lower percentage of petrol tax being allocated for new motorways since 1998.
