Slovenia Establishes Forum on Future of Europe
Ljubljana, 11 April - In a bid to give the Slovene civil society a chance to have its say on the future of Europe, a Slovene forum that is to discuss the matter was founded on Thursday in Ljubljana. Some 40 officials of trade unions, various chambers, the universities, NGOs and minorities adopted the standing orders and thus officially established the forum. Speaking of the significance of this event, the establishment of the forum was attended by the top three Slovene officials, including President Milan Kucan, Speaker of Parliament Borut Pahor and Prime Minister Janez Drnovsek.
