Defence Minister Unveils Plans for the Abolishment of Obligatory Military Service
Ljubljana, 12 April - The conditions in the recruitment service of the Slovene Armed Forces are currently not at their best, but that does not mean that the defence system is not functioning, Slovene Defence Minister Anton Grizold told Friday's session of the parliamentary defence committee. According to the minister, difficulties with the service, both for professional soldiers and those serving the obligatory term, should be abolished with the eventual professionalization of the Slovene Armed Forces.
