Coalition SLS for NATO, but against Expensive Government Jet
Maribor, 15 April - The council of the coalition Slovene People's Party (SLS) is firmly for Slovenia's NATO and EU accession, was decided at Monday's session held in Brestrnica near Maribor. Party president Franci But said SLS was in favour of a referendum on Slovenia's NATO membership, but only after Slovenia receives an invitation. SLS also discussed the new government jet and strongly opposed the purchase, as the party believes that the price exceeding US$35 million is too expensive.
